Denton Corker Marshall was commissioned by Fish PLC to carry out all architectural, interior and restaurant branding design works for a re-worked roll-out of their successful Fish! Restaurant.
Fish! Guildford is a new restaurant located on the top level of a newly constructed car park in the centre of town. The building was designed as a fully glazed pavilion with panoramic views over the surrounding hills and monuments. The open plan dining space incorporates 150 covers and adjoins a large outdoor terrace area.
The project included an exclusive Fish! retail unit on the ground floor, which is directly linked to the restaurant by a dedicated lift and stairs.
Fish! Canary Wharf was the first of a dozen of the new cafe/diner style restaurants specialising in a fresh fish menu. Denton Corker Marshall developed a new design style for this modern restaurant group which included sit-up diner counters, waiter stations and co-ordination of all furnishings, fittings and equipment. The fit-out design was characterised by the bespoke cast aluminium masts and light fittings that focused on the eating counters areas.
